Communion

This is one of the few photographs I've taken that I'm actually proud of. There's no real way to describe this photo without waxing cheesy, so pardon me for it.

I like that there are essentially two fields, the grass below and the blossoms above, like I'm stuck in between planes that are stretching off forever (though the parking lot in the background ruins that effect a little), which are connected by the trunks of the trees. I felt very alone when I did this, but not lonely. It was kind of... existential.

Anyway, I had a hard time coming up with a title that embodied what this photo did for me. However, one friend said this as he tried to "help" me:

(in the voice of darth vader) "If this is a pastoral scene where are the shepherds? Commander tear this picture apart untill you've found that title, and bring me the photographer I want him alive!" "Look sir! Trees!"

I stabbed him shortly after that.

I'm quite new at photography and very clearly an amateur. I welcome comments that will help me improve.
